About Research Support

Researchers at Texas State University may have to meet certain security requirements in addition to their IRB approval process. If you have never conducted research at the university, please begin by visiting the Office or Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP), linked in the button below. The ISO security guide is intended to provide researchers with information about existing tools. The forms at the bottom of the page will begin a review process from the ISO based on information provided in the forms.

ISO Research Security Guide

This guide covers existing enterprise-level software available to faculty and staff. These tools will be part of your data security plan, should one be needed. Specialty software purchases must undergo a security review.

Research Referral Request

This form is primarily intended for use by personnel in the Division of Research. Use this form to alert the ISO to new or existing projects.

Security Support Request

Faculty and staff should use this form to alert the Information Security Office (ISO) to new or existing projects or other important research matters.
